Jesus Performs his first miracle

Jesus lived for 33 years and during his life time he performed many miracles. The first one was at Cana at the request of his beloved mother, Mary. It so happened that one day Jesus and his family were invited to a wedding at a place called Canan in Galilee. When the wine was over, the grooms father did not know what to do. When Mary saw his sad face, she asked him what the matter. When she was told that the wine was exhausted, she said, “don’t worry, my son will take care of the guests”. Mary then went to Jesus and told him, “They have no wine left and the guests are in plenty”. Jesus said to her, "Woman what has that got to do with you and me?.. My hour has not yet come”.

Having tremendous faith in her son, Mary told the servants, “Do whatever He tell you to do”. At the wedding reception there were 6 stone jars, each holding about 20 to 30 gallons of water, but they were empty. Jesus told the servants to fill them up with the water. When the jars were filled, Jesus said a prayer, and instantly the water in all the 6 jars turned into wine. He then said to the servants, "Now draw some out and take it to the steward". When the chief steward tasted the wine, he did not know where it had come for it was so good that he felt like drinking another cup: This was the first miracle Jesus performed Cana. He performed a lot of other miracles also.
